Has anyone bought from necktieworld before? His ties are very cheap but I don't recognize any of the patterns and he doesn't show the labels. Feedback score is also a little weak. Any views as to whether he sells authentic items? See, for example: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws....75&rd=1

Wow... One of the buyers that left positive feedback about him bought 10 items on the same day in all private auctions. He must really have some great stuff. And that buyer also has great stuff cause he also bought from him 10 items as well also in private acution. Maybe he sold the ties back to him. Really great stuff... ALso the bulk of his feedback is from two people each one in their respective praise are on the same day. In one case one buyer bought the same tie twice. Damn... why cant I get customers like that, that buy the same tie twice and thank me for it.

Your suspicions seem pretty obviously right; the nature of eBay is such that anyone selling authentic merchandise will generally go out of his way to mention/photograph any and all details necessary to prove it. With Hermes ties, that means showing a keeper tag, the screened label on the narrow end, at a serial number at the very least (which I make sure to do when I sell them). And if nothing else, none of his ties look consistent with their respective brand styles: when was the last time you saw an Armani tie that used high-weight pastel silk or a Hermes tie with dull base colors and generic approaches to its patterns?

It's really easy to tell if a Hermes tie is a fake. I can't really be sure since the pic is so bad, but just by that alone raises suspicion. I'd stay away.
