    And they're actually getting bids.....Hmmmm

    This reminds me of a record dealer on eBay who takes average, $3 records that you can find at any thrift shop and ends up selling them for hundreds.

    There are a few rare brands that sale for that much. S. Ricci does have a tie that cost over 1k. But Brioni doesn't have any tie that cost over $225. There are a few brands that are in the rare price arena such as the few listed below.

    Are there really people out there who are that clueless to outbid someone at more than double full retail price?

    Yeah, on these auctions, perhaps. But the record dealer I'm talking about can't be a fake unless he has thousands of friends and or different accounts.
