Dear Folks:

Yesterday, I encountered an ebay listing problem that is driving me crazy...perhaps you can help.

Although I use Firefox for most things, I prefer explorer for creating ebay listings because uploading and manipulating photos is faster and easier. But yesterday, when I tried to revise an item, explorer slowed to a crawl. Occasionally I can get through this but then it also slows to a crawl when I try to change the category of the listing.

I contacted ebay via Live Chat but they were not very useful. All other aspects of Explorer and Firefox work at normal speed, so it's not an issue with my connection. Yesterday I upgraded from IE 6 to IE 7, but the problem persists.

Perhaps I inadvertently changed some IE setting without intending to. Regardless, the change has slowed my ability to list. 

Can anyone help?

I encountered the same slowdown yesterday while revising my listings, so it's most likely due to some bugs in the eBay system, not just your IE.

Why don't you use Activa, TurboLister, or Vendio?

If you are at all open to using a Mac (or feel strongly enough about this particular issue to consider switching), I use a Mac laptop with a copy of Garage Sale for auctions/listings, and it makes everything much faster/easier. Many headaches saved.
