The search function used to be so user friendly and now it is a disaster.

Speaking of this, is there no way to sort the shirt results so that it includes only new shirts? (Short of including "new" in the search, of course.)

Nice!

I've only recently started shopping on ebay, and I've had a lot of success. In the past week, I picked up 2 new BB golden fleece suits. I paid $300 for one, and $200 for the other. With the live cashback (25%), it was a great deal. I search mostly for BB stuff, and I've had a lot of luck. I've been looking for shoes and a trench coat, and have had less luck with those searches, so far, but I also haven't been looking as long for those items.

Same here. It made me realize -- too late, sadly -- that the final value fees for fixed price are higher than for auction, especially on expensive items where it adds up. Good for high volume sellers whose merchandise moves slowly since it has lower opening fees, but not good for the casual seller. Now I know.
