From the story:

""We are making aggressive moves to strengthen our leadership positions in e-commerce and payments to competitively position our company for long-term growth," Mr. Donahoe said. "Bill Me Later is a perfect complement to our portfolio, a company that belongs with PayPal. Together, PayPal and Bill Me Later will make online payments safer, easier and more convenient"

I('m not familiar with "Bill me later",but you can bet that Ebay will ruin it as to customer service the way they did to Paypal.

You buy off eBay all the time. You have friends who make a living or make most of their expendable income by selling on eBay. There is no other place for you to buy your **** at the price you pay or for them to make money other than eBay. Why would you want it to go bankrupt?

I literally don't know how I'd buy anything if it wasn't for eBay. I buy nearly everything that isn't a comestible on eBay -- wood, pens, clothes, caluclators, lenses, cameras, parts for my car, collectibles I'd never otherwise find (or afford).
