Apples, pears, grapes and blue corn chips are what I usually take on long road trips.

The main thing for me on long road trips is to avoid fast food joints.

Being a post doc, I love noodles.

Good travel food imo, just need a kettle.

Gather some raccoons and corn husks during the evening, so that you have all the ingredients for your favorite breakfast ready to go in the morning!

Just say ******* and go to culvers--you're on the road!

get a basket with a double butter burger with cheese, substitute in cheese curds, substitute in a peanut butter malt (or flavor of your choice)...you have to ask for small or they will make it a medium.

Hope somebody else is driving after this stop.

If you absolutely have to eat fast food I would try to stick with subway - arbys roast beef sammich isnt terribly bad for you (skip toppings like cheese) I believe it has ~300 calories. Ill treat myself to one sometimes.

Simplify: eat at any fast-food joint you find, but be smart about it. I end up usually at Subway or some chicken place. You can find decent, reasonably healthy road food just about anywhere. Drink lots of water
