A friend and I are planning a trip next summer to Europe. We'd fly into Crete in Greece and fly out of Ramstein AB in Germany at least 15 days later, up to 20. We are using military air travel so can't change those. Is this enough time? Too much distance to cover?

We are planning on taking trains/buses and visiting any interesting cities on the way. We are both single in our 20's. Visit historical/cultural touristy sights during the day, drink and party at night. Try interesting foods. Stay in hostels/cheap places.

Athens>Zagreb>Budapest>Vienna>Prague>Germany too ambitious? Spend about two days in each city. I would be down to visit any country in eastern europe, if someone has a superior route. Prefer places where we could survive with English, although I do plan on learning the basics of a couple languages a few months in advance.

Thanks for any advice.

A couple days in each place will be fine, although you won't see everything you want to, you can always come back. If you are visiting Prauge there is a town in the southern Czech Republic called Cesky krumlov it very beautiful and worth the stop. Not much in Zagreb but Dubrovnik on the coast of Croatia is something you can not miss. If you can Vienna is amazing as well.
