What's the best and easiest way to shave your head? I've been using the same Mach III razor and shaving cream that I use to shave my face. Is there a better way? Is there an electric device designed for shaving your head?

Head shaving is best done with a razor and shaving cream. You can use electric clippers to get your hair shorter for easy shaving, but as far as a neat and clean look - the razor is the only thing that really works. I believe I used to shave against the "grain" of my hair and make sure have plenty of lotion/sunblock handy for when you are done.

this topic gives me the willies. i get nervous just thinking about trying to shave my head.

i know there are actual razors on the market designed for shaving the head. you might give one a try.

however i have never shaved my head, so i don't know what i'm talking about.

/andrew - holding the front, but the battle is looking grim...

What about shaving "the twig and berries". Do people honestly use a blade? I want to shave it off down there, but the thought of a blade freaks me out.

I'd rather trust a blade than some sort of electric clippers or something. Accidents with electric shavers "down there" are not pleasurable.

Try to not drink alcohol (or smoke/snort/inject any foreign substances) for at least an hour before you shave anything.

Keep a steady hand and a sharp blade handy at all times. You shouldn't have to worry about shaving your junk.

l shave my head completely in warmer months. Since the Winter has just finished l will shave it again.

l always use a tripple razor and shaving cream. As long as you have a sharp triple razor you can't go wrong.

To maintain head stubble use an electric razor. (electric razor to maintain the head stubble).

P.S: put warm water on the head before shaving it.

Do you follow your head-shaving with wheatgrass juice aftershave? I'm just kidding with you

I purchased a headblade. It was reasonably priced ($15) and works well. More ergonomic for shaving your head than using a razor with a straight handle. You can use it to shave either direction. Uses Atra blades, which are not quite so extremely expensive as the Mach 3 blades I use to shave my face. All in all, a good product that I am happy with.

I use a katana.

If you're talking about a proper shave, go to a proper barber. At least once to figure out what you need to maintain your scalp. If you want the 1/8-1/4 inch look, just buy a trimmer and go to town.
