Earnest Sewn Fulton Dry Selvedge: Stretching/Shrinking Tendencies?

Hi,

I found a place that has a few pairs of Earnest Sewn Fulton "Rigid" No. XX, but I'm not sure about the sizing.

The 29's fit me like a glove in waist and length, the 30's are a tad roomy in the waist, and too wide/long in the length.

Will they shrink permanently in the wash much (i.e. will not stretch back out to size), or will they stretch out much (i.e. to APC proportions; 3 sizes bigger)?

Thanks

I'd grab the 29s, they won't shrink a whole lot and will probably stretch out 1 size at most.

Thanks for the input Drizzt.

Would you happen to know how much these sold for, or sell for nowadays on forums and such?

Retail $198, not sure how much they'd sell for on forums, I think they're pretty recent. I'm sure some places had them on sale which would mean they went for ~$120 but that's just speculation.

Definately 29. They will stretch quite a bit, but won't shrink all that much. My washed pair of ES does this too.

Apparently not. I think the line dry is Wash No.50, whereas these ones are totally raw, wash no.XX

I have had a pair of filson xx for some time. I don't think they shrink much at all in the wash, though I don't wash them often. They are 32, measured 32 new, and are now 33 at the waist.

If they are like mine, they are full selvedge, and I'm sure you could get $100-140 on the forums here. Since it is a fairly popular brand, you could probably get the same on ebay.
