E-P1 vs GF1

Right, that's true. I did say it was a rumor, but wasn't clear.

How is the DOF with the m4/3? I love my 135mm f2L with my 5D. I know the OLY won't match the 5D in that area, but I'm really looking forward to getting some lens mount adapters and hunting for cool old lenses like I used to with film.

It's not going to be as shallow as a 135 f2 on a full frame that's for sure!

If you find a hyperfocal distance calculator (there are a lot online), you can do a comparison. They usually have a setting for full frame sensors vs 4/3 sensors.

I have heard that there is some sort of limitation with m4/3 and speed of lenses due to the sensor size. Supposedly, anything brighter than f1.4 will be "wasted". I haven't had time to confirm the theory behind it all, I wonder if anyone has any thoughts on this?

The GF1 handles it better, the box is resizeable to near point size. The E-P1 is strangely huge.

1.4 is already hard to use for practical photography in 24x36, depth of field is so small the subject better be still.
