Sorry for the bad pics. I tried to take them with and without flash as there's no natural light.

Thank you. Which one was it?
The one you were wearing. I was trying to figure out how the medallions were positioned at the tip and the overall alignment of the pattern. SkoAB's photo of the blue version makes it look like the medallions are angled rather than vertical.

Got it. I'm sure you can have the tie made up according to your specifications if you speak with Patrizio. I've done that some time: asking him to align/angle some patterns in specific ways.

If anyone is looking for some cheap Cappelli ties (and want to help fund my big upcoming Cappelli order), I have two up for sale. Happy to do a combo deal as well.

Navy/White neat tie - Just a bit wider than 8 cm, ties a good sized FIH
Light brown/cocoa madder tie - 8cm, ties a smaller knot. Has a very faint water stain (which is hard to see)

Has anyone else noticed a difference in knot size and tied width when changing the length of the tie? I originally ordered 8cm/142 cm ties, which had a pretty steep taper and created very small and short FIH knots. I then tried 8/146cm which produced a perfect knot but was a little bit wider than 8cm width (Came out to a 3.25 inch width). The 8/145cm tie I just received produces a perfect knot and is exactly 8cm wide.

Is there some variation with the width of each tie he produces, or does length (even just a cm) make a difference?

Just tell him the width you want at the tie point next order. If you want a wider knot, tell him, taller knot, wider tie at tie point

No, but I've noticed that the interlining is different. Ties from my recent order seems to be slot lighter with less lining than ties from previous orders without any changes to specifications. The change is for the better, I should add.

There is a drastic difference in the taper between my 142 and 145/146 cm ties, but pretty happy with the results of the longer ties.
