I’m always too late for these threads- by the time I check the link, the tie is sold out! The link to the cappelli medallion tie from tweedy goes to a 404 which is a shame, I’d love to get this tie.

Not sure my budget extends to the HN white as I was going to get a couple of ties.

I was debating between this red/burgundy tie and the blue variation. Would you say it’s more burgundy than red?

It's definitely burgundy and not red. I have all three iterations of it; burgundy, navy and brown. They're all equally beautiful. I'd recommend all of them. I'll try to snap a photo when I find time =)

Looks like a really classy pattern. Also curious how the blue looks for you in person since the photos look a bit lighter on the Skoaktiebolaget website. Please do share pics!

It's not that light. It's more muted. Cappelli's picture is better. But I can't find it on his website anymore. It seems as if it went out of stock. I can understand why.

Patrizio just confirmed blue is out of stock. Bummed out because it looks like it would be a perfect pairing with a charcoal suit. Now taking a serious look at the burgundy.

Do it. I ordered my ties before Patrizio put them up at the website. I actually think the pictures are my ties. You could purchase it from SkoAB otherwise.

I do email him occasionally to check what he has at the shop. He keeps a large stock which isn't seen at the website.

Interesting. Did he basically show you the fabrics he had that weren’t on the website, or what’s the easiest way to get a peek of his other stock?

Unfortunately I only do 8cm widths, 9cm would be way too wide for me.

I emailed him after I saw that SkoAB had new Cappelli ties in store. Unfortunately, their madder ties are handrolled. I prefer them to not be. So I contacted Patrizio and asked if he had any madder ties with motifs I like that aren't displayed at the website.

Come spring/summer I email him with some motifs I like and ask if he has anything similar in twill silk. He almost always has something interesting that isn't displayed at the website and he's very happy to help. I really enjoy working with him.
