I have a cotton long sleeve button up in white that i really like and i want to turn it into blue. Can I dye a shirt and have it come out good looking? How would I do it, and where would I get the supplies?

I don't really think this is a good idea. I haven't had good results with home fabric dyes.

You can get wash in dyes in most decent hardware shops or similar. If the shirt is white, and its this or not wear it then sure give it a shot, otherwise this strikes me as a pretty bad idea, it doesn't seem likely to turn out well. If you do, post before and after pictures.

HAHA! I've done this last month because our chemistry
teacher taught us how to do this.

It is really not a good idea unless you're experienced and skillful at dyeing.

I'm not skillful at dyeing so the outcome of our dyeing was worst! ahaha.

This guy had a light cream coloured shirt. It had some weave pattern on it. He used to wear it a lot.

He was a careless fellow and forgot that shirt out in the lawn. It was returned by someone who recognized it. People returning things he had left around was no longer a rarity. The shirt was received by his roommates, who took the shirt and got it dyed blue. They took turns wearing it around him. He would always remark, that he had a shirt with the same pattern in the fabric but in a different colour, and that he had not seen it for a while. By now this story was well known and everyone would complement the blue shirt wearer on the great shirt when this guy was around.

At the end of the year, they told him the story and returned the shirt (now blue) to him.
