dyeing a denim jacket

the jacket is blue and i wanted to dye it black. what type of dye should i use and where can i get it in vancouver, bc?

someone suggested RIT dye. will that work ok?

check the thread its stitched with, as it will most likely not take the dye like the denim does, and you could end up with some seious contrast stitching. RIT should work.

RIT will work, but it won't hold well at all. There are garment dying services out there, but they may be too expensive to be worth it, depending on how much you want to/can spend on this.
