the dunhill store near me went out of business a few months ago and someone on this board mentioned they had closed most or all of their stores. i'm guessing there could be a lot of dunhill stuff found at discount about now.

That's right. I bought over 100 Dunhill items a few months back from several of the closing stores. The last few items I have are on auction right now at EuroLuxe on eBay. Bidding starts at $0.01 and eligible StyleForum members receive a 15% discount off of the final winning bid price.
