no. its a good scifi book, but not top 5. also ^ nice to see that someone else has read old card. treason/wyrm/the worthing saga are all far superior to the **** he puts out now.

The only Hyperion book I enjoyed was the final one. Scott Card sure knows how to write a powerful book, doesn't he? Treason was an incredible idea for a book and the Alvin Maker series had some highlights too, IMO, but none of those rivaled Dune. There was just something so intricate and solid in Herbert's work.

Sting. Crappy movie too, IMO. And Kyle Mc. was Paul, Patrick Stewart was Gurney.
