i like his gear a lot, very much along the lines of Brits like Paul Smith and Ozwald Boateng (2 of my faves). wondering if anyone own a suit and their opinons on it. Â looks like good stuff Duncan Quinn

Thought I'd necromance my own thread from 3 years ago as it got such a great response the first time

anyways, he's updated his site for anyone interested

and apparently his gear is made by Martin Greenfield so it's well made

I don't know anything about him, but the lookbook styles are nice. I particularly like that the colors of the suits are generally light. I tend to wear light colored clothing as it is a nice change from the sea of darkness that you generally see. IIRC, he tends to wear his own jacket sleeves too short for my taste.

yea it seems he likes to show about 3" of cuff(!!)

his LA store doesn't have the personality of the Nolita shop, but it's on a good strip of Melrose, right near Marc Jacobs and Paul Smith (across from where Ozwald Boateng was *supposed* to be). I have NEVER seen anyone in there so I wonder how its sales are, esp since there isn't much stock in there. Just shirts, ties, pocketsquares and cufflinks, and only about 10 suits total. Oh and he has the Jeffrey West shoes in there too

My uncle has a couple of his "bespoke" suits. They are easily among the better looking suits I've seen in real life but he isn't a particularly difficult fit.

IMO, both Quinn and Brown do a disservice to their lines by being seen in such an exaggerated state when their clothes can be easily worn in a more traditional 50's/60's style. You'll notice Boateng refrains from such practices.

I agree with that, as much as I like Quinn and Browne. I don't think DQ has much of a vintage vibe and worn "correctly" has a typical modern English look along the lines of Richard James, Paul Smith or Boateng.

the dude is wearing his suit with swagger, I kinda like that, also, I think he is appealing to the younger crowd anyway , particularly with his bright colored suit

He has a bravado that's appealing in contrast to Thom Browne's vaguely nebbishy persona: [IMG]

So let me get this straight...

He's a lawyer, and he wears suits with those colors, and he still looks like he could either sue you blind or knock you into next week.

    I like it.

I still don't understand how he finds the time to run a clothing business while working as a corporate lawyer.
