1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Your advice, while well-intentioned, contains a misspelling. Good point, though.

    thanks for clearing that up

Part of me is disappointed to not be mentioned in this threak.

I'm probably the dumbest SF member, and that's saying something since I'm a noob to boot.

In the past year I've lost 30 pounds and while I used to wear 15.5" shirts, I kept the same neck size and just started buying "slim fit" versions. I always still had too much fabric. I finally moved to 15" (had avoided it for fear of "choking"). They fit like a glove. Now I own one shirt that fits me and about 20 shirts (not that they're all high quality, granted) that don't.

Should I throw myself out a window?

You can resize the body but only can move the collar button like 1 cm for one size plus or less, also cut a bit an close the other side of the buttonhole do do the same until one side is almost mounted with the other.

    Spalla,

Do you have any feelings about Marroquians that you'd like to put on the record?

Given your description of your intelligence, this explanation might not make sense to you, but here goes anyway: Throwing yourself out a window will not help your shirts fit any better. Instead, I would suggest buying new shirts in the correct size.

Am I going to fast for you?

    *too fast

Couldn't resist considering the nature of the swipe. [IMG]

If they are nice shirts sell them on B/S here.

Congrats on losing the weight! You'll be much happier being trim and fit as opposed to having shirts that fit [IMG]

I absolutely will sell them here - great idea!! I have a whole bunch of 15.5's coming on board. They're "decent" shirts of the Polo Custom Fit, Thomas Pink variety. I know most of the people here think spending less than $300 on a shirt is a sin, though.

I would say if you lost 30 lbs, you're the motivated type, not the dumb type. I think having a good warddrobe is hard enough without having a significant shift in body type, so there's obviously nothing wrong with having an unbalanced warddrobe. If you are at a comfortable weight and build, then you can start to get more clothes based on that, so even if it's just one or two shirts a month, over time you will have 20 good fitting shirts. Good luck in the future!

Congrats on the weight loss. Learn from this and move forward.

+1.. always listen to SF senior members' words of wisdom...go easy until you find the right fit...trial and error w/o going overboard...

Perhaps when you jump you could use one of your old shirts as a parachute?

Hahahaha. I'm close to spamming this thread now. My BB shirts would make good parachutes, in particular. I love the idea of wearing them for half a day and having that "wth" look on my face the entire time.

how did you lose the weight man i could use to do the same.

if you do throw yourself out the window please post a youtube link [IMG]

welcome you seem like a swell fellow

A little corny, but I went on Amazon and looked for the highest rated diet book for men and Men's Health "Belly Off Diet" came up. I followed the diet fairly closely (basically, eat like a king for breakfast, prince for lunch, and pauper for dinner and snack in between so never "starving", reduce sugar/processed foods, and incorporate running into one's routine. Worked like a charm.

Fantastic - 50 pounds! If you want a Hugo Boss 40S gray suit, hit me up. You probably need to stock the wardrobe, too.

Definitely not! I'm a paid-up member of the Spalla Fan Club. Just hoping to sort out this Corniche confusion.
