Feel dumb for asking, but I've always pronounced Alden as "Al (as in the name) - den" but a while ago a sales rep at J Crew pronounced it as "All - den". I was wondering about this.. What is the correct way! Thanks people

I say "all-den" but I'm from Sweden so it might not count.

The Japanese say オールデン (Oh-ru-den) so I'm inclined to think the "All-den" pronunciation is correct. Though the Japanese really sounds closer to "Olden" than anything else.

"All-den," but I imagine this varies by person/region. Like puh-kahn/puh-can/pee-can.

I thought Al (like the name) Den, and I am always wrong, so it's definitely All-den.

All-den. Although I tend to sort of elide it in normal conversation, so it comes out "Alld'n"
