"I've known for years that he had a common mind and liked second-rate people, and I am sure it is a good thing for England that he abdicated."

Did anyone happen to see the NYT Book Review endpiece about Noel Coward's wartime espinoge work? Very interesting....

The whole Nazi thing has never been fully substantiated. Yes, he met with Hitler, and yes, like a fair number of the aristocracy he was sympathetic to the Nazi movement. But calling him "pro-Nazi" seems kind of a stretch. It's not like the guy actively campaigned for Adolf.

Forget the DOW (I just thought the comments amusing), I was more interested in Coward's undercover activities . Are these well-known?

Apparently not. Great quote for a sig though.

Roma: wait, did you mean undercover with men or with spies?

This is another conspiracy to bring down Western Civilization committed by a very powerful minority group.

I saw his clothing, including suits and trousers, at auction at Sotheby's or Christies a decade ago.

He was a small man, about a size 37.

Ass was proportional, just like the Duchess.
