I'm getting a pair of duck boots this winter to help with the cold and wet. What is the proper way to wear dress slacks with them? Do you tuck the pants into the boots or leave them outside?

I can think of benefits and caveats to both methods but I wanted to get others' opinions.

I imagine it would look funny no matter what. I only wear my Duck boots with jeans.

Tuck 'em in if you are out in the rain; leave 'em out if you are inside or it is dry.
