I have been looking at the shirts that Duchamp are selling (http://www.duchamplondon.com/shop/shirts/
and some of their fabrics are almost too lovely for words. The only trouble is that I don't like their collars. Does anyone know if its possible to get fabric like this anywhere so I can have some shirts made to my spec?

Whoa! I would not wear those shirts unless I took employment as a carnival manager. But they did have some nice floral pocket squares and socks!

Who would wear shirts like that with a combo of their jackets? Only a Mediterranean playboy with sartorial renown could pull that off, or what say you?

I own many of these, and they are just great! The colors are very vibrant, and the fabric is amazing!

I did actually buy one last year (a gorgeous purple paisley number) but their collar sizes were just not right. After a lot of thought I eventually overcame my lust for the cloth and decided that comfort had to win over vanity. However, I still really love the material and I would pay lots to get my hands on some. Perhaps its just not meant to be.

I bought a few when I was in London last year. The jacquard cloth in dark colors tends to be very versatile as night club or casual wear. I have received the most compliments from a black jacquard shirt with charcoal pants. Overall, I love their products.

i would guess that those are woven to order. Where do you live? ssome of the fabric distributors may have something to you r liking. I know I have some large stripe as well as colored ground jacquards in stock.

You could also contact duchamp directly. ask if they have any fabric left on the style you like. ask if they could either make a collar to your specs (doubtful) or ask if they would give or sell you enough fabric to have a local shirtmaker make a collar in your size.

i have a couple of their shirts and the fabric is excellent. The woven patterns not so much the stripes. Nice slim cut also.

Well I went into their Regent St shop and had a pop at getting some of the jacquard fabric. Their main man said that it was basically their design and they wouldn't want to let anyone else make a shirt with stuff which was recognizably theirs. The only other option was to buy two shirts and cannibalise one but that would end up being one expensive shirt by the end. A damn fine looking one mind.

Their fabrics are specially milled for them, these fabrics are not available to other manufacturers, tailors, or the general public.

I went into their store on Regent Street a couple of weeks ago during a visit to London. Did not fancy it much, it's too damn colourful and flamboyant, but hey that's me. I do like their socks though.
