Dry Denim For Girls...

I'm a girl looking at some APC bootcuts, anyone out there have any idea on sizing/ recomeendations for other dry denim?

Also, Has anyone ordered over the phone from the Denim Bar in VA? How's their service, return policy?

APC doesn't make bootcuts. They make straight and taper legs only.

Nudie/Denimbirds make dry bootcuts that should be right for you, along with Earnest Sewn's Hefners, which is also available dry.

Dealing with Denim Bar is pretty good. Cheaper than just about anywhere else, and fast service.

Actually, APC does make one bootcut jean for women, usually referred to as the "Hipster". Ask Brian about sizing.

It is, if the APC website's "Women's Jeans" are Hipsters. The cut is based on the new standard with a 2cm lower rice and one less button. Actually, I don't think the New Standard is a straight leg, its tapered AFAIK. I don't own any.

That's what I thought. I almost bought a pair for myself when I went to the APC store on Mercer.

May want to consider Ande Whall. He's a poster over at superfuture that has his own denim lines. He makes women's bootlegs in both Low Rise and Extra Low Rise.

Yea, confusion as always with this one: The APC Hipster (women's jean) is not actually a boot cut - it's a completely straight leg from the knee down.

APC does not actually make a bootcut jean, only straight and tapered.

I think Acne would be my choice for women's dry denim. Nudie and Denimbird back pockets are not very flattering, unless your ass is just absolutely amazing and it looks good in anything.

Keri I will call you . I ahve APC hipster in your size for sure as well as the LEE RIDER which is bad ass. I have denim baids dry in a 30W I just opened the box.
I am sold out of Acne, Thinn Finn, Slim Kim and Slim Jim.
I have some earnest sewn one wash which is hot.

Hmm, since my info was off, I feel that I need to provide something useful. The Nudie bootcut Ola is pretty much a unisex jean, and has a slight bootcut. Reasonably priced too, at ~$155.

I've never gotten anything from Mauro (at the Denim Bar) but from all accounts, his customer service is good and prices very reasonable. I've talked to Mauro lots of times on the phone, and he is a pretty cool guy in any case.
