    Hey guys

I recently bought an older Sued jacket from a thrift store and it fit perfectly! Pleased with my purchase I took it to a local cleaners immediately so I could wear it. So I picked it up and payed $40 only to realize when I got home that they ruined my awesome jacket. It feels like they just used a washing machine to wash it. It has a moist feeling and it shrunk.

I wanted to know if there is anyway to fix my jacket, and what's the best way to find an in-house dry cleaner that pretty much can properly clean anything them selves?

and I live in the Atlanta area if anyone already knows of someone

    The spelling is suede.

Burning is now the only option for your jacket and, as I assume you paid very little for it, there will be little recompense for you - you have only lost what you paid the second hand dealer.

Decent dry cleaners can handle suede but you really should have enquired more fully before entrusting the garment with this shop.

My first action would be to bring it back to the dry cleaners. Sure, you're only out what you paid, but they still should know how to handle the garment. I would explain what happened and ask how they cleaned it. Having a leather jacket "shrink" after cleaning is very suspicious. As disappointing as it is to be out the jacket, you're not going to get them to replace the jacket. I would be up front with them, though, and at least get the $$ you paid for the cleaning refunded and ask for extra to cover what you paid for the jacket. Then I would find a new dry cleaners!
