DRIES VAN NOTEN SS2015
The only Belgian that delivers tonight
wow so do you guys think this strappy bracer bondage thing is going to be real? like am I going to see dudes on howard street with strappy leather things waiting to be shot by the sartorialist
Hrm not really digging it.. I would love to have this jacket. Pants and shorts in the other looks are nice too.
How does he manage to do it? Every single collection is amazing. There is always something new and pushing the boundaries of menswear but still wearable.
Once again - and very easily - one of the best collections of the season
The collection was awesome. Also, the amount of really good Dries on sale all over the place, in full size runs, while boring mid-black Achilles and white Common Projects sell out in record time gives lie to the contention that good shit doesn;t make it to sale. The best shit often makes it to sale because most people have boring tastes. With the exception of ny leather goods and sneakers, I'm not taking myself out of that group.
To be fair, if I had the body of a model and lived in Hugh Hefner's mansion, I'd wear a lot more Dries and a lot less boring stuff
Dress for the job you want
getting a lot of luxe athletic and ballet vibes, especially with the shoes and the looks with the bags. nice to see the upcoming dries fw trickle into ss in a more elegant fashion. best ss collection so far.
Definitely a lot different than F/W 14. Seems more elegant, while F/W was more techy. I would love to own this bomber:
I think there's something vaguely sinister about this show that I really love. It's sensual, based on ballet, but it's still got an edge. Beneath the overt ballet references there's kind of a gangster subtext I get at times—the harnesses look like holsters, the long jackets like trenches, more black than usual for Dries. Sounds a little crazy, but that's what I get. Think it's awesome.
Absolutely phenomenal. Dries always manages to consistently maintain a high standard.
I really love the bomber Ken P posted, everything that was green, and these looks:
Yawn, Dries is good in stores but I'm almost never enthousiatic about his runway shows, too much print madness when you pile it all up. Harness and shape of coats is A+ though.
embroidered green jacket is really nice and I do like the idea of using an all black harness over a coat/jacket
