dressing for date

im sure ill get reemed for this question but here goes........ just getting out of a 7 year relationship and going on pretty much my first date with an older woman tonight (im 28 shes 38 (but very cute) what do guys my age wear these days on dates probaly going to a lounge type place first for drinks and small talk.

couldnt tell you havent dated in years. nix the t shirt and jeans if thats what you were thinking, and three piece suit would make you look more well dressed than her. So something in between. A button down with a nice pair of slacks would do. Jacket/blazer might be overdoing it.

I certainly don't have the irrational hatred of Helvetica some people do, but I've never seen it used on a t-shirt without looking amateurish.

i work with a lot of 28 year olds

I say if you wear an oversized striped polo
baggy-ish name brand chinos
steve maddens or docs you bought at shoe carnival
and a wal-mart belt

you'll look like 72 bucks, and she'll probably be all over you

maybe Ed Hardy or something like that so she knows your trendy

Maybe some Ecko or Sean John, especially if you are white and from the Midwest.
