I attached pics of a dress shirt I bought.

It’s is a Calvin Klein extreme slim fit. 16 1/2-32/33. The next size down is 16, and then 15 1/2.

As you can see from the pics, the collar is quite big. I can fit at least my 4 fingers in and still have room.

Should I go to a 16 or 15 1/2? Or should I keep this and wash it In hot water and dry it in heat hoping that it shrinks?

Personally, I am not a fan of trying to shrink things, better to just buy the right size. From that picture, I would think trying a size smaller couldn't hurt!

Thanks. When you say a size smaller do you mean 1/2" or 1" smaller? I'm also losing weight currently, so my neck may shrink, but it's probably not going to be a huge decrease in neck circumference.

Your neck is nowhere close to a 16. Try a 15, and perhaps a 14.5

Instead of guessing, wouldn’t it make more sense to actually try on a few shirts? Or at least just measure your own neck size?

2 months ago, my neck was measured to be around 16-16.5". It surprises me that this one is so loose. I have lost 10lbs since then though, but I doubt I lost that much of my neck.

I can only order these online. I can't find these at the store.

Btw, I live in A2. Any suggested clothing stores?

I am shocked that in 2 months you have lost 2 inches of neck. Seems.. odd. But yeah, trying a 15 or lower clearly wouldn't hurt.

Assuming by a2 you.mean that city in Michigan with that "other school"

Brooks Brothers has a store at somerset mall in Troy, 12 oaks in Novi has noits of options, I can't remember the mall down in Ann arbor but I am sure you can't go too wrong! If you are looking spend more there are a number of bespoke places that are good for shirts in the area as well!

You should measure around the neck of that shirt. It's possible that it was mislabeled.
I don't buy much clothing around A2 unfortunately because stores here don't stock items that fit me (size 36R jacket). I'd check out Van Given, Renaissance, and the Brooks Brothers Flatiron Shop. Depending on your budget, there are more options in the Detroit suburbs as Marc said. Birmingham has a couple of good shops for tailored clothing.

Yeah I seriously doubt I lost 2 inches. I actually accidentally ordered a 15"-32/33 (thought it was also a 16 1/2) in a different color with the 16 1/2-32/33. I just tried on the 15" and I think it's too tight. It was a pain getting that collar button on. And once it was on, it felt somewhat tight around my neck, though I could live with it. Also, I wouldn't say that it was difficult to stick 1 or 2 fingers into the collar with the 15", but I probably would like a 15 1/2" better. I really liked the fit everywhere else with the 15" though.

I'm going to try a 15 1/2 once it comes in stock.
I don't have a good grasp of how big 1/2" in neck circumference is. How many extra "fingers" would I be able to stick into a 1/2" bigger collar?

Also I'm probably going to lose another 10lbs in the next 2 months, so perhaps the 15" would fit better once I lose those 10 lbs.

So just to put this into perspective, I have fluctuated from 170 to 215, all wearing the same size shirt. Never changed neck size. Just food for thought :)

Same here. I've been the same neck size since I was about 17 so no matter my weight, my neck size wouldn't change. Odd place to think that you'll lose weight in, but who knows maybe you do.
