dress pants that I can get dirty

I am looking for some nicer dress pants, but I'm not really sure what to get. At the moment I mostly just wear cotton chinos in various colors, but I'd like to have a nicer pair or two as well. The reason for my indecision is that as High School Band teacher, I'm often messing around with instruments that are dripping with oil, spit and various types of grime that can stain, or at least requires daily washing.

If I get wool pants I don't want to have to send them off every day for dry cleaning, and I'm not too sure what I think about polyester blended pants.

Any suggestions on what type of pants I should be looking for?

Ideally somewhat inexpensive... (did I mention I was a teacher?!)

Depending on what type of fit you prefer, I would read the comments other customers made about the pants. The prevailing opinion is that they are very full-cut with a wide leg opening. FYI, I have no experience with these pants.

I don't own these, but I do have a pair of their Town and Field wool flannels in Classic Fit, and I wouldn't categorize those as billowy.

I say give em a shot. If they're too baggy, either have them tailored or send them back. Bean has a legendary return policy.

Pretty sure the Dockers are cotton-poly blend. The last time I saw and felt them in person they felt plasticky and had a "shine" to them that I didn't care for. I don't think they would really qualify as dress pants.

yeah.. trying to get away from the dockers. I have some and they look alright the first time or two you wear them, but now they look like balls (faded and shapeless)

Have a couple pairs of the more casual style chinos and they work alright for that, but for dress pants, NOPE

Try Kohls and/or JC Penney. Some of the poly-wool or poly-rayon blend pants look OK and are machine washable.
