I don't have any of the bicolor ones, but the ones with dots, and I find them to be among the best knit ties one can buy, lovely crunch, relatively loose knit, but with "body", if that makes sense.

Any idea how they compare to Gallo knits?

I bought one and it was like 65" long. Absurd. I sold it.

You bought one of the bicolor ones or just a Drake's knit? I need shorter ties and normally don't buy them off the rack, but these knits were always the perfect length (i.e. shortness) for me. Would be sad if they changed anything...

I have a Gallo striped one: not as thick as crunchy as Drakes', tighter weave. Not bad either though.

+1 , I have a bicolor Gallo, a little "floppier", but also nice. I think they might be a tad longer than the Drake's.

Nice, I see another tie sale thread coming in

Can anyone recommend less crunchy knit tie? I guess with tighter weave? Crunchy knits make a huge knot, which I tend to dislike.

I bought a Drake bicolor knit. I measured it. It was 65" long. The knitter simply forgot to stop or something.

Why not just send it back for a new tie? I got a much too long grenadine, didn't realize it was so much longer than normal until sometime after I bought it, and they still replaced it.

no need, I complained on SF and someone piped up that they wanted it, so I sold it.

Apart from the length, was it comparable to the solid/spotted ones? I think I might have to order one.
