Downloading streaming audio to hard drive

Can anyone tell me an easy to use freeware or shareware program that will allow me to download streaming audio to my hard drive? I have a list of Grateful Dead bootlegs online, but they are mostly streaming audio which needs to be captured before it can be transferred to an Ipod or burned to disc.

You can also use 'mplayer' and capture to a local file.

However, one of the largest downloadable Dead collections is: http://www.archive.org/search.php?qu...eful%20Dead%22

It might be easier to just grab it from there.

Video Lan Client is capable of this. The user interface is a bit geeky but once you figure out how VLC works, you realize it's the Swiss Army knife of multimedia software.
