Down Parka suggestion.

It's so freaking [cold] in this winter .. I need a parka which has a hood. I was looking at this:

I want to wear it over just about anything (except for suits, I suppose). Do you guys like it or have you seen any better ones (in terms with more stylish/functional etc)?

I have a non shiny moncler with a small logo that is very light warm and high quality. I have seen many on sale these days.

Stay away from the trendy ones though they are hideous.

With my cold weather experience in Minsk over the years, I can state my Canada Goose Expedition Parka is far and away the best made parka I've ever owned. Since the Seargent Parka you linked is made by the same company, I see no reason it should not be of equal construction quality.

The Expedition (pictured below) is for extreme cold weather. It appears that the Seargent you are considering is designed for slightly milder weather. I used a seam-ripper blade to remove the badges on my parka.

that coat is extremely heavy -- good for workiing at arctic stations...

If you are going for function over fashion, Canada Goose is bulletproof albeit heavy. If you want something more technical, warm and light I would suggest the Mountain Hardwear SubZero parka if you want to cover you rear or the MH SubZero SL jacket which is hip length. Light gear with enough fill to keep you warm. The Subzero also has a water resistant outer fabric.

You could also go synthetic which does better in the wet such as something like the belay parka from Wild Things Gear.

I picked up a Land's End down Commuter Coat for this Boston winter. It's claimed to be rated at 40 below, falls to the knee, and doesn't look atrocious with a suit (though, obviously, not fantastic). With the hood snapped off, it resembles a bulky trench. It's been plenty warm for this (admittedly not terribly cold) Boston winter. I'm not planning on using it when I go to Greenland, since I don't trust Land's End's 40 below rating quite that much. Also, it's reasonably priced.
