When I was in law school (1979 - 1982) I clerked for a firm with offices in the Russ Building on Montgomery Street in San Francisco. On the ground floor was a shop called The Shoe Tree, run by a father and son, that specialized in (duh) shoes and leather accessories, but also sold high-end ties, sweaters, shirts, odd jackets, etc. It went out of business long ago, but I bought my first go-to-court shoes and briefcase (which I still use) there 30 years ago.

A couple of months ago I ran into the son on the street, and he told me he now operates a tailoring business on California Street - Doug Peter Custom Clothier. I had him do some alterations and they nicely executed. I was thinking about ordering some bespoke shirts; he is a good guy and I want to support his business, but I would love to know if others have sused him and what their experience has been.

Thanks, and sorry this was so long-winded.

Stay away. I ordered a few shirts and they are crap. A tragic waste of fine cotton.

What the hell? Who is crap? The person you asked for opinions about? This just sounds like you are trying to smear someone.
