Double Breasted Suits Are In Again

Interesting article. Suggests that the jacket on a double breasted jacket should be cut shorter. I wouldn't have thought that. Frankly, I think it looks sloppy on the photo shown in the article. I'm thinking about picking up a double breasted next time I'm in Hong Kong. Been about 13-14 years since I last owned one (was my first "real" suit).

At least one styleforum traditionalists had to say this, but the fact is that they are in style now. Three or four years ago you didn't see them on young and fashionable people that care about looking hip, and now you do. Within the world of men's fashion, where changes are slow and less dramatic than in women's fashion, the recent resurgence of double-breasted qualifies them as "in again." Young guys who would have considered them square not long ago are requesting them in greater numbers and they are frequently worn in casual contexts.

The glorious individuals with true style have been doing it all along; now the horrible fashion slaves are getting in on the act.

I agree with the sentiment that neither of those men is wearing the suit properly. They just don't look great in my opinion.
