Another instance where trendily unpadded shoulders and trendily high gorge produce an unflattering end result for a person with sloping shoulders. The giraffe effect strikes again.

I can’t tell anything wrong with the shoulders given the positioning of the camera. The suit looks fine.

Are 6x1 something for the brave (or old geezers, or the weird)? Or, its slowly coming back? This fashion adviser, Hugo Jacomet, seems to be the only one constantly wearing it. One certainly couldn't find any 6x1 for sale in stores, Jacomet probably had his bespoked, so he must really like that style. I think the 6x1's button positioning compliments narrow or short guy, making them look wider and taller.

Thought?

It's a preference. Sometime because the client wants a lower opening to show more shirt and tie. Some just prefer the look.

Would guess that the ladies suit was made by two different tailors. One did the jacket another the pant. The fail is they didn't communicate about the cutting of a one-way pattern in the cloth. The pant has the brighter horizontal white line of the plaid on the lower position and the jacket is the opposite. The brighter horizontal white line of the plaid is at the top position. OH-OH! This things stand out. Sorry, can't help myself!

Ralph Lauren pulls off the 6x1 rather well but he is fairly short. Personally it looks too early-1980's to me.

I have a few 6x2 DBs but the majority are 6x1, I prefer it and find it more flattering on me. A lot of 6x2s tend to make me look like I’m wearing a sausage casing.
