Just finished to watch En cas de malheur (1958) with Jean Gabin. Plot is the following:

Not worth watching (except Pépé le moko in 1937, Jean Gabin was not in many good movies before the sixties, european golden age of cinema) but suits are made from Opelka (Paris).

I like this movie (and no,Gabin was in a lot of wonderful movies before the sixties,he was one of most important French and European stars).
The suits are from Opelka (as the suits of another great movie of Gabin:"Grisbì" (1954).
In 50s double breasted coat was the king of French wardrobes (and Italian too). His domain was undermined by single breasted (three buttons) only in the late 50s ( but from 1962 double breasted had a great come back).

Here some Opelka double breasteds for Gabin (1954).
