Those photos are terribly inaccurate, if these are the are the 246 and 248 swatches. The light grey (246) is MUCH lighter than shown. If one has to be a DB, I'd say the darker grey, though both would look good.
Thanks, mate. Would you generally always choose the darker suit made up as DB over the lighter alternative, or just in this particular case? If so, why?

They're stock photos from their website.

The latter is this one https://www.spierandmackay.com/product/minnis---gray-fresco-510213-224522-2f2h1

Can't find a suit made up out of the former. Could be this one, but not sure https://luxire.com/products/minnis-fresco-light-grey-plainfresco_0546#/

Way to make the DB look your own. Looks like a New England yachting blazer. But that belt though..... destroys the whole bespoke look. Get yourself some properly fitted trousers with side adjusters man!

they look like 'Hollywood Top' type trousers, that seem to be popular atm...

This was taken in artificial light, so the colours are not great, but it will at least give you an idea of how the fabrics compare to each other

Thank you very much, appreciate it. They differ considerably more in your pic than I though. I went with 510213, but not as a DB. Saved that for something else another time.

You’re welcome. Yes, they’re not that close actually, both nice though. I had the swatches at hand so I thought I’d post a comparison. Been wearing some fresco today myself, paired with a flannel DB suit as it’s still quite chilly over here.

Can’t wait for spring to really kick in over here though and get out more lightweight fabrics like this fresco tie.
