The Dark Brown cotton suit does NOT flatter his frame.

His heavily sloped shoulders look sad...even look even worse due to the soft shoulders (possibly due to the minimal padding).

The jacket looks ill fitting in the area above his waist...where the buttons fasten.

The tan suit's shoulders appear better structured...and blend in nicer than the brown suit

That's better...

Was it a Forbes article on the most expensive suits in the world?

I think he uses Caraceni and some random young guy who is out of Rome I believe. The latter was interviewed for Menswear magazine a few years ago. I like the cut of his shirts - again another random maker - not sure of the name.

After Vionnet maybe he should offer his services to A&S

I doubt the Rowland family would be happy with that arrangement...

Would be nicer if more waisted, but nice nonetheless.

Shortly (!) after Tiny Rowland stole A&S (in a swift and deft move), he came in to be fitted for a bunch of suits. The staff gathered around around him in silent horror, because the cutting had gone awry and the back balance was way too short (!).

The silence continued as Rowland examined himself in the mirrors when he proclaimed something like, "I love the back!" Everyone looked at each other in mild astonishment, and perhaps relief, and from that point onward, everything A&S made for Tiny had a markedly short (!) back balance.

Rowland was also in the Hitler Youth for a short spell, back when he still had his given name: Fuhrhop. He changed that to Rowland in his twenties, which explains the common use of his nickname since his first name was Roland...Roland Rowland being a bit too sonorous even for a wealthy man.

And that, my feathered friends, is the A&S Backstory of the Day™.
