  • Epaulet x Styleforum Alpine Loden Collection

Loden wool, woven in Tirol for centuries, is known for its resistance to cold and wetness. Our project in collaboration with Epaulet introduces Alpine Loden, a modern 18oz fabric blend of 75% merino wool and 25% nylon, woven in Italy. It's lighter, more durable, wind-resistant, and more comfortable than traditional Loden fabric. Partnering with Rochester Tailored Clothing, we offer custom garments like sportcoats, suits, and overcoats, made to your specifications. Learn more about the Loden collection here.

Quick help deciding between below two. Which would you choose? Not sure if I want plain or chalk stripe as my first DB. Plain is more versatile?

I love the chalk stripe if you change the buttons. Those buttons are pretty awful. The plain probably is a little more versatile, but there are only so many occasions appropriate for a double-breasted suit, and most of them are pretty formal, so I think the chalk stripe would be OK.

I actually ended up going for the chalk stripe. Something about DB stripes that makes people wonder about you.

It came to $200 Canadian. This was the Suitsupply outlet sale. And I was able to pick up a plain navy DB wool blazer for $100 Canadian. The buttons on those are fine!
