I commissioned a Vox SAS (from Steed, even) in Frontier suiting. I think the idea works pretty darn well for travel. I took it to Argentina on a three week vacation and plan on taking it again next year on a long vacation.Mostly a simple visceral negative reaction. "That looks awful" kind of thing. My guess is it doesn't look like a "proper" suit made of a smooth, lightweight worsted with clean lines. The cloth looks pretty thick and textured.
U should have said “what’s wrong with a textured suit?”Mostly a simple visceral negative reaction. "That looks awful" kind of thing. My guess is it doesn't look like a "proper" suit made of a smooth, lightweight worsted with clean lines. The cloth looks pretty thick and textured.
We are veering dangerously close to the sanitation worker suit discussion again.U should have said “what’s wrong with a textured suit?”
Dear Gentlemen,
Not to break the DB overcoat series, I am posting here below a picture of a chesterfield DB overcoat commissioned in the recent years by a favorite AV of SF.
IMHO, it is a great iteration of this style, in a camel-colored 100%cashmere overcoating fabric. Unsurprisingly - hence the reason for this picture to find itself in my image database - I am truly fond of the lapels, due to both their width and height; other notable elements and details are also evident in this overcoat!
Cheers,
Dimitris
What’s the fabric?Ive been saving this fabric for the past 6 years. I hope to get a peacoat made out of it one of these days.
