FTFY, but boo to it anyway. yay, more or less, to the rest.

Not sure I totally I understand what you approve of, or disapprove of.

If the waist was higher, say almost to the middle button, the flare in the skirt would work. The buttons are askew. If this is meant to be a 3 on 1, the buttons should be in a straight line and spaced evenly between them. At present the top 2 buttons are spaced farther from the middle as if this were a 3 on 2. This one needs foofing in the worst way.

Because it sucks and desperately needs improvement?

That would be like me me adding sugar to earthy French Bordeaux or tarry Barolo wines because "it is not to my likings."

If one wants to exactly fit one's internal conceptions, then Vox has got Edwin to do it. Otherwise, enjoy a little character (terroir) and variety (grape) in life!

Lapo seems very non self-consciously comfortable in his grandfather's jacket - makes me comfortable looking at him.

The jacket's cut is instantly recognizable as Ralphie's cut . . . why mess with an established identity?

The color palette (IMHO) could be less conservative to centerpiece showcase that jacket for me. For example,

Because it sucks and desperately needs improvement?

There is something with this jacket I can't get over. The button spacing/ position and pocket placement just doesn't jive with my aesthetic sense of a DB. Maybe white pearl buttons would help.

    Convert to SB.

    Paging Mr. Glennie!

I dont` think it was really the number of buttons that was the problem. Maybe you should of just tried different buttons (and placement). Does it look any good buttoned at the top?

With the "keystone" button config. you don't have that choice.

On a second look it is the shape or lack of shape of the waist that spoils this jacket. The waist is undefined and what shape there is is too low. A little shape at the waist while raising the waistline and trimming down the bit of flair in the skirt and I'll give it 2 stars. Too bad the buttonholes aren't in line with pocket or the pocket was lower and inline with the buttonhole.

FTFY, but boo to it anyway. yay, more or less, to the rest.

I have made a momentous decision:

I have obtained Chan's FedEx number and I am mailing it to them.

    Wish me luck.

Here is my latest drunken E-Bay purchase. I really need to stay away from E-Bay beyond 10 p.m.. I made an offer, they took it now this second absurd C.B. era RLPL is on its way. I hope the pinstripes are less obnoxious in person and the flash just made them really stand out. We will see. LOL. [IMG] [IMG]

It came in and it is not as radical in reality as the flash shots made it look. I will get some pics up tonight. I like this one alot, more than the brown nailhead...and yes, I would sure as hell wear this to federal court for a settlement conference. My opponents would cower in fear. [IMG]
