Can anyone tell me a bit about Dormeuil? I am somewhat familiar with it, and its fabrics, but don't know a whole lot more than that.

I ask because a local men's specialty shop is having a Dormeuil trunk show with a rep from London running the show. I know the owner (he's gotten to know me pretty well, since he's been a great source for some for some relatively hard-to-find stuff- e.g. Helmut Lang). He's been dropping hints about considering a custom made suit following this trunk show, but if what I know about Dormeuil is true, I imagine we're talking huge bucks.

Does anyone have any input at all? Thanks in advance.

Dormeuil is a fabric house from France that has been around forever (100+ years). It is very expensive and exclusive. The store here in New York that sells $2,000+ suits to those who can afford it. You don't really go there for the most cutting edge stuff, mainly traditional stuff. But it is top-notch quality and you can trust that it'll last forever.

The NY store also sells Edward Green shoes, which is a bespoke shoe brand from England (like Berluti or John Lobb.)
