I'm almost as shocked at this one as I was when Elton John came out.

I always thought he looked like a proctologist on that show.

now i have to revise everything i thought i knew about doogie.
i wonder how vinnie delpino took it. i mean, they were tight. maybe they experimented a bit. i bet there's a lot in his electronic journal that was too hot for TV.

The 33-year-old actor said he was motivated to disclose his sexuality because of recent "speculation and interest in my private life and relationships."

Translation: His career is going nowhere and he needs a publicity boost. Speculation and interest in my private life? Ha, up until now I had forgot he even existed. Too bad there isnt a video like that Zach guy from Saved by the Bell. On second thought.....

Actually, he's developed a very respectable Broadway acting career, and isn't he starring in a sitcom now?

His career is doing OK, actually. He's on CBS' "How I Met Your Mother."

Some website was about to out him, so he came out preemptively.

That's it.

His career is going quite well actually. How I Met Your Mother is a hit, I believe. I know I think it's hilarious. And in many ways he is a cult figure. Cameos in things like Harold and Kumar's have made him very popular.

And, yes, he's been on Broadway too. He was in a concert version of Sweeney Todd (with Angela Lansbury and someone who's name I now forget). And he's been in some other big stuff.

I have that Sweeney Todd Concert Version on DVD; George Hearn was Sweeney. Harris was quite good it in. He was also in Sondheim's 'Assassins' -- as Lee Harvey Oswald, I think. The guy's not just another untalented 'used to be a child star' screwup loser.
