Did my eyes deceive me, or did I see "The Donald" wearing a WHITE tie with a tuxedo jacket??? Well, he's got incomparably more money than I do, and his new bride is substantially better looking than my wife (although the latter is pretty darn good for someone age-appropriate for me), but at least some of us know how to dress like gentlemen.

I think that a white tie clearly will go better with a tailcoat, but I disagree that the white tie/cumberbund set is totally inappropriate with a tux. What I was disappointed with was that he went with the notch lapel instead of the peak lapel -- he should have known better.

Just a side comment:

l really thought the Don would have more brains than to get involved with some super model. Doesn't he know that she is using him. He must be in so much denial. lt's pathetic. l'm sure he would have a pre-nup. l bet you all that the Dons new wife would be looking at other men all the time. Much better than looking at his comb-over during inimate sex.

he know's fully that he's being used by her.. just like she is being used by him. it goes both ways. Trump is gonna get used by any woman he marries, regardless of how good she looks. He might as well go for the one he's going to have the most fun with.

How can they live with themselves, l could never let someone use me-it just wouldn't feel right. People don't matter to them: he is an extremely materialistic businessman and she is a materialstic model. Materialism comes before people. They both make me sick. They diserve each other.

l wouldn't let anyone use me no matter how gorgeous the women is. The sex might be great but a person needs some self respect.

While ineffable's comments are certainly possible, and even plausible, none of us know these people.  So why not reserve judgements.  For all I know, they are in love with one another.  Great.  If not, who cares?  But are any of us really in a place where we can assume these peoples' lives?

Hear hear

So back to the topic at hand--I don't see any reason to think Trump has any sort of fashion sense whatsoever. For years you'd never see him in anything other than a red tie; only since he's been told that it's OK to add color has he branched out (source is his newest book, How to Think Like a Billionaire or some bunk--he had bad luck wearing a red tie one day, so put the color away completely). He wears and endorses Brioni with the disclaimer that they give him all his suits for The Apprentice. That's the only reason he gives in the book--nothing about the cut, the workmanship, the styling, just that they give him free suits, so they're the best.

In short, would you expect anything less from a man with a combover?

Turns out he leaned on few Palm Beach luxury car dealers to comp him the Merdedes limos used for guests and such in the wedding as well.

So Brioni gives him all his suits for "The Apprentice"? Never was the old adage, "Them as has, gets." more true.

Lucky for The Donald there aren't any real Style Police--they'd have to give him the Rodney King treatment.
