Donald Trump 'consumer guide' for the best luxuries around:

The Best Suit: I wear Brioni suits, which I buy off the rack. Some people think its best to have custom-tailored clothing. I don't recommend it unless you have an oddly shaped body, and unless you have a great deal of time.

The Best Cuff Links: The best cuff links are the TRUMP five-star diamond cuff links that Joe Cinque of the Five Star Diamond Awards gave to me. I keep some on hand as gifts, and they are great-looking. I also wear solid gold cuff links from time to time, but I have to say, I prefer Joe's TRUMP cuff links.

The Best Shirts: I've worn some great shirts over the years, but I now favor Brioni (the same brand as my favorite suits.) Brioni shirts are fitted so they feel and look great... Actually, once you get a good shirt, who really notices anyway?

The Best Ties: Brioni and Hermes make the best ties.

The Best Shoes: I love a variety of high-end shoes. I can remember when I thought some good shoes were great untill I found some really great shoes. The price was substantially greater, too, but after wearing them, I can't go back to the others. I also find that they last for a much longer period of time, so that the real cost is actually less.

What does Donald Trump know about taste?
I purchased a book about NY interiors. Trump's appartment was a nightmare.(albeit an expensive one ).The epitomy of bad taste.

Actually, I kind of agree with his view on custom clothing.

Great views on shoes: "I had good shoes, but I found better shoes, which cost more, but last longer". Duh. And this man manages a company?

Not very well, if you look at its performance over the years. It's amazing to me that Trump has a reputation as being a business genius when his company has periodic debt defaults.

If he did not have the money, or for some reason the ability to raise money, in the everyday world of biz, I think at best he would be a great car salesman...he has the uncanny ability to talk people into the worst investments and then bakrupt the companies....what a GIFT.

Trump DOES have an oddly shaped body.

And what shoes does he wear? Why didn't he disclose this?

I disagree that custom clothes take a great deal of time more. Maybe if you just wear the same two or three shirts that Trump seems to. But if you want patterns, it's so much easier going through a swatch book and letting the guy measure you. You don't even have to do bespoke, just MTM. Are you telling me Trump couldn't get a better fit with Brioni MTM??

He is a strange strange man. And I'm sure the reason he doesn't mention a specific shoe brand is because he isn't currently being paid to endorse one. I've read--somewhere here I believe--that he gets all his suits free now for mentioning Brioni.

Hmm. If I was Brioni, I think I would pay him to say the suits are made by Kiton.

Although I may regret this, does anyone have a picture of these cufflinks?

Donald Trump can wear whatever he wants because he's The Donald. I also learned that he has his own clothing line, called...you guessed it - Donald Trump collection. I've never personally bought anything from his collection...

He doesn't write this stuff - a ghostwriter does using the Trump brand as a marketing tool. In the same book he mentions "Head & Shoulders" as the definitive best shampoo. Lol.

I know b/c I read it one day at Barnes & Noble.

I think the trump effect is wearing off with the end of the real estate boom.

I love that he has Trump vodka and not only doesn't he drink, he looks at drinking as a sign of weakness (according to an interview with him). It just goes to show he would license anything that he thinks will build his brand regardless of his own moral or personal standards.

I've met the Joe Cinque Trump mentions. I met him at the Beijing Hilton, and he's exactly as you expect someone who gives a pair of diamond cufflinks to Trump would be like.
