The taste level seemed to be a lot better a few years ago. Now it's all Russian gangster crap (triple-button shirt collars with contrast stitching, four inch wide ties, etc.).

I actually haven't been in a DV store in years.
I found DV kinda creepy to be honest.
Back then I thought his jackets were beautiful though.

The quality is still good (even if the prices are ridiculous).

As I was surfing around the elite traveler PDFs today, came across this Domenico Vacca version of a classic grey flannel pinstripe. Can anyone speak to the cut of Vacca suits (i.e. how wide or narrow the trousers, approx measurement of the trouser ankle, etc.?) This one is listed at $4900, which is right around brioni and less than kiton, i think. like semi-soft shoulder and high lapel notches, etc.

Of the Vacca stuff I've seen, I'd say that outerwear and suits are the best. Most patterns in the store are actually really nice and not gaudy - the ones that are in the window are the most attention grabbing. SHirts are meh and collars OTT. Half the ties are awesome, half are horrid. Shoes are mostly gaudy.
