Though I know you guys really hate eBay for a lot of reasons, you can add selling on its subsidiary half.com to the list. I don't understand why it is holding my money hostage (>1K). It seems as though they send out the payment every 2 weeks with an extra 3-4 days to reach the checking account. This to me seems ridiculous? Plus, they don't give the option of paying/receiving payment through paypal even though they own it.

On amazon.com, you can request the deposit as soon as the payment goes through. I don't understand why eBay is literally doing everything within its power to alienate customers. They're whack.

So the moral is, use amazon.com; I think the commission rate is a tad higher, but you do have access to your money in a timely manner. They aren't out to make what little interest they can by holding onto your money for as long as they can.

**** EBAY.

For a single payment this may seem ridiculous but I have lately been selling a lot of books on half.com From a business standpoint, it just makes sense to cut checks on a schedule (when you work hourly...can you request half a day's pay before going out to lunch?)

The lower comission on half makes it more than worth it when selling small items (since amazon has a fixed comission plus a %)

i stopped using half.com because of their **** system with transferring money. It took almost a month to transfer $70 into my checking account.
