not really - but here is the one thing you simply must do, no excuses - go to the islam museum, one of the best museums in the world. and seriously, I **** you not.

aside from that, I usually end up in the old city and eat lebanese. their is also an iraqi fish place that is very good, and might be the only place outside of iraq that serves river fish from iraq grilled in the iraqi manner.

as to clothing, really nothing I can think of.

enjoy!

iraqi fish place Sounds great. Any hints to find it?

> islam museum
if you say so. most here would dismiss it as only full of suicide belts, pilot training manuals with the landing instruction chapters missing, and other such wonders.

Thanks, I should be there tomorrow evening.

Odd not a single response for a non-alcoholic meeting in Doha. It is me or are there no members there?

Interesting. I would have thought that I am the only Styleforum member living in Doha. Apparently I am mistaken. It would be fun to have a Doha SF meeting.

there is an "old city" - I actually think that it is new, but made to look like an old city. its L shaped. and not very big, a few hundred meters total. if you walk from the joint, away from the water side, almost at the end of the old city you will see a place on the right side where they are grilling big flat fish in the window. that's it.

there are a dozen or so other good lebanese places in the same area with shisha and so on. but this is something that is rare - the fish place.

enjoy

Back in Doha.

GT suggestion about the islamic museum was excellent. thanks
There is the royal kingly stuff but the everyday things are just as remarkable. War stuff too but a lot of simple things that echo an inner peace and harmony. Short drive (like < 10 mins ) from the airport. Not to be missed.
