Dog did his business on my suit jacket!

Hanged my suit jacket on the kitchen table chair for 20-secs to open the door.
Came back to my sis dog peeing on my jacket!

Only had time to send the jacket to the dry cleaners (Jeeves) after a few hours.

They would only be able to send it to their central location for dry cleaning day after.

1- Cleaners told me dry cleaning won't take out the smell, is that true?
2- Worse case scenario, what else can i do when i get it back and it's still stinks?

Took it to the most "experienced" place that was open on Sunday morning, which is Jeeves, am located outside of UK though.

None of the local cleaners were open yesterday.

Anyone has any similar experience?
Did it have a happy ending?

Wait, just the dog pee or did someone do a happy ending on your jacket as well?

So, if you're jacket wasn't there the dog would have just "did its business' on the floor? People don't walk their dogs where you are located?

Never had this problem so can't be helpful, sorry.

It seems that it was just business, nothing personal.

Anyway, the pee would add some character to the jacket, clothes look better when they are worn in.

No, dogs will spray items and objects to mark their territory. By doing so on the jacket, the dog was effectively appropriating the jacket.

That is true. It was
whoops. It was new and seen as needing marking. As far asthe odor goes, I'd consult another dry cleaner. If still no luck then Borax does a pretty good job on odors like that. Would have to soak the area with it though.

You may want to consult a specialty cleaner, not your neighbourhood dry cleaner. Rave Fabricare in the US has a good reputation here; you may want to PM @stubloom for his thoughts.

You must really be pissed. (Sorry, I had to say that.)
I can recommend a product that should take care of the odor
and stain. I have never used it on tailored clothing however.
The product is Nature's Miracle Stain and Odor Remover.
In the US it is available at pet shops. Here is their website:

Where in Asia are you located? From your name "takashi78" I'm guessing you could be in Japan?

If in Japan, you might try taking it to one of the big cleaners like Hakuyosha or Pony Cleaning. Their line up of services is quite good for handling different needs.

From what I've been told, chemical based "dry cleaning" is mainly aimed at removing oil based contaminants. For water based contaminants (sweat, ammonia, dog pee, etc) dry cleaning won't do much, which is probably why the cleaner said it won't take out the smell.

Good luck with it.
