Does your attire limit what you eat for lunch?

When I wear my Purple Label suit, I am really limited on what I decide to eat for lunch. I'll opt for a Ham and Turkey Sandwich from Subway instead of a nice meatball marinara footlong with extra sauce.

Same goes if I am dining a little higher-scale after work and I don't feel like changing. I'll choose a nice lobster before I order the lasagna.

No.

I know this sounds weird, but if I'm weairng something nice, I take enough care to not spill food on my clothes.

Does that happen still? Of course, just the other day I got a spot of curry on a nice white shirt.

It's just part of life. Shrug and move on.

These mishaps are inevitable. I make sure to order a meal that is consumed with a knife and fork as opposed to a sandwich or "finger food". Better control

I try to be careful. No, it usually does not. I might avoid an ice cream cone on a hot day, though.

I am careful, however, my philosophy is that you have to get some use out of it. I used to buy something really nice then never wear it because I didn't want to 'wear it out' or whatever. Now I am just careful but get use out of it rather than it just sitting in my closet waiting for a really good time to wear it.

No!

Surely one should take adequate care so as not to spill food on one's clothes?

Yes, infact it limits what I eat at all meals for fear of growing out of it.

I don't worry about spilling stuff on my clothes. It rarely happens, and if it does - so be it.

I'll often pass on tomato-based sauces when I'm in my best clothes. Although I try to be careful, there seems to always be a splatter or two that ends up on my shirt or tie.
