Does too much lotion clog pores and make it not work?

I shave in the morning and apply some aftershave and lotion to my face.

1. Should I put lotion on my face on top of the aftershave? Or will the aftershave block it?
2. Would I then put sunblock on top of the lotion and aftershave before going in the sun?
3. At night, after washing my face, should I use a different type of lotion?

Thanks!

I no longer use aftershave and put moisturizing lotion, followed by sunblock. There are also combination moisturing lotion/sunblocks that you can also use. At night, I use just the non-sunblock lotion. Not that I'm worried about clogging pores, but I understand sunblock contains chemicals that you want to minimize the usage of if you can.

buy one that says non-comedogenic/doesn't block pores, problem solved.
